Warmly welcomed by our tour guide at your hotel. Visit to Chaukhtat Gyi Pagoda – third largest reclining Buddha image in Myanmar with a length of 72 meters long.

 

Botataung Pagoda - located on the side of Yangon river, overlooking the pleasant waterfront of the river. It was named after the 1000 military leaders who escorted Buddha's relics from India over 2000 years ago and was built almost in the same time as Sule Pagoda and Shwedagon Pagoda over.

 

                            

           

 

 

Colonial Buildings from 20th Century, Lastly, take a short tour to feel the other side of town Yangon. "Colonial Charm"! The crowded city you see today was once ruled by the British Empire and many Victorian-style buildings have survived the ravages of time and retained their glory. Colonial architecture is visible in large numbers of religious buildings, administrative offices, cinemas and residential properties in Yangon, especially close to the downtown area. (Ministry of Hotel & Tourism, City Hall, Former Immigration Department, Emmanuel Baptist Church, Independence Monument, Law Courts, Banks on the Merchant Roads, Myanmar Economic Bank 3, Customs House, Central Post Office, Inland Waterways Department, etc)

Bogyoke Market - this popular market in downtown area offers a good selection of gem stones, traditional fabric & costumes, handicrafts, arts & paintings, souvenirs, etc. Bargain …bargain…bargain before buying something. One of the colonial buildings in Yangon with over 2000 souvenir shops.

Shwedagon Pagoda -This 98-meter gilded stupa is Myanmar's Holiest Buddhist Shrine that contains relics of the past four Buddhas. It used to be only 18 meters tall. From 1453 to 1472 it was raised to 40 meters. The stupa was rebuilt many times until it reached its current height of 98 meters in the 18th century.

 

 

                           

 

 

 

In the evening, visit to China Town - also known as fruit market. A colorful restaurants & eateries, temples and markets. Continue to a local tea shop a chance to experience an integral part of localculture: Drinking Tea! Select from an array of snacks and enjoy coffee or tea and rub shoulders with the friendly locals.

Return and overnight at the hotel in Yangon.
