Itinerary details:

 

Day 1: HANOI ARRIVAL – ½ CITY 

Arrive in Hanoi. Pick up at the airport by your guide. Visit the Ngoc Son Temple, Tran Quoc Pagoda and the Lake of the Returned Sword. Tour by rickshaw through the streets of the bustling old Hanoi. Musical dinner. Overnight in hotel

 

Day 2: HANOI – FULLDAY CITY 

If you get up early, you can go to Hoan Kiem Lake, where Hanoians practice tai chi. This is excellent for body balance. Then breakfast: pho (beef broth, noodles, coriander ...). It's great for morale. During the day, we visit the mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh and his stilt house, Mot Côt Pagoda (One Pillar - thirteenth and twentieth centuries), Temple of Literature (Confucius, founded in the eleventh century), Ethnographic Museum, Quan Thanh Taoist Temple (founded in the eleventh century) ...

Program - The art of water puppetry is millennium and was born in the rice fields of the Red River Delta. It is a typical Vietnamese theatrical genre, which continues today to make impertinent chronicle of peasant life. We are witnessing one of these amazing shows in a special theater. Day 3: HANOI – HALONG 

The tour guide and driver will get back and pick you up for the morning drive overland to Halong City, your entry point to the Bay of the World Heritage by UNESCO. Thousands of islands rise dramatically from the waters of Halong Bay and, to further their beauty, intricate cave systems naturally exist throughout these limestone karst formations. The traditional styled junk will cruise in between the towering islands, visit a limestone cave in the afternoon and do some kayaking and swimming (depending on the weather) Your accommodation tonight is a truly special experience – sleeping on a boat surrounded by high limestone karsts. Overnight on board.

 

Day 4: HALONG – NINH BINH – HOA LU 

Wake in the heart of Halong Bay and breakfast on board. Continuation of the cruise among the surrounding islands. Arriving at the jetty around noon. Drive to Hoa Lu ancient capital made famous by the movie "Indochine". Culinary discovery: goat pellets.

 

Day 5: HOA LU – HA NOI

Boat trip on Halong Bay on land in the middle of rice fields and limestone peaks, crossing natural caves. Bike ride to Bich Dong Pagoda. The village of Van Lam and his craft embroidery.

Drive to Hanoi in the afternoon, free time and overnight in hotel

 

Day 6: HANOI – FLIGHT HUE 

In the morning flight to Hue (1h). Visit the citadel of the Imperial City, the mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc. Discovery of Crafts factory conical hats and incense sticks. Tu Hieu Pagoda, funded by imperial eunuchs. Culinary discovery: the Bun Bo Hue. Art exhibition of works by Le Ba Dang and Diem Phung Thi, renowned artists from Hue. Royal dinner and costume show of traditional music.

 

Day 7: HUE –DANANG – HOI AN 

Cruise on the Perfume River: Thien Mu Pagoda (Heavenly Lady) containing several Buddhas. Drive to Dong Ba market known for its beautiful conical hats. Passage Cloud Pass along the coast and beautiful perspective on the peninsula of Lang Co. Visit the beautiful Cham museum housing one of the finest collections of Cham sculptures in the world. Arrival in Hoi An, check in hotel and overnight in Hoi An

 

Day 8: HOI AN 

The morning is yours for leisure on Cua Dai Beach or doing your own things.

The afternoon walking tour offers you a chance to see how beautiful the Old Quarter of Hoian is. The sites include the Japanese Covered Bridge; Phuoc Kien Assembly; Tan Ky ancient house; Hoi An Culture and History Museum and Quan Cong temple. Evening is free on your own to chill out at a riverside café or enjoy shopping with tailor-made clothing, shoes and lanterns. Overnight in Hoi An

 

Day 9: HOI AN – MY SON – DANANG – SAI GON 

Visit Cham historic site of My Son, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the evening flight to Ho Chi Minhn economic capital of Vietnam. Overnight in hotel

 

Day 10: SAI GON – FULLDAY CITY

City tour: the old colonial quarters, the central post office, market, outside the Reunification Palace, City Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral and the War Museum. Walk in Chinatown Cholon, Binh Tay Market, Thien Hau Temple and pagoda Giac Lam where still live a dozen monks. Discovery of crafts: making lacquer. Overnight in hotel

 

Day 11: SAI GON – CAI BE – CAN THO 

Visit the floating market of Cai Be: sampan ride on the Tien Giang river. Visit a family business of making rice cakes and a colonial house that belonged to generations of mandarins. Lunch fish specialties. Cruise to Vinh Long with fruit tasting. Dismark then drive to Can Tho. Overnight in hotel.

 

Day 12: CANTHO – TRA SU – CHAU DOC 

Boat trip on the Cai Ngong channel before discovering one of the largest floating markets of the Delta: the Cai Rang. Visit the house in Binh Thuy which was filmed "The Lover". On the island of Con Tien: visit floating fish farms, Cham village and its mosque. Visit the bird sanctuary Tra Su. Drive to Chau Doc and overnight in hotel

 

Day 13: CHAU DOC – SADEC –SAI GON 

Arriving at Mount Nui Sam: stop at Tay An Pagoda, the temple of the goddess Chua Xu and Thoai Ngoc Hau Tomb. Visit the colonial city Sadec, Garden of Cochin and the Confucian Kien An Cung Pagoda, anicenne house Madarin Quach, walk walk through the narrow streets lined with frangipani, to the Trung Vuong primary school where Marguerite studied Duras and lively and colorful market. Dinner cruise on the Saigon River. Overnight in hotel

 

Day 14: SAIGON – DEPARTURE 

Morning transfer to airport and flight back.
